When nested breaks and complex harmonies slide into each other, the genre boundaries of electronic beats and hip hop blur seamlessly, the creativity of Erfurt artist Koju blossoms. Hardly a bar resembles the last, driven by detailed timbres & rythmic variations. Dirty drum fills, filter rides & a detour into the depths of the tides are laced together by the up-andcoming artist in this album as well as amen breaks and funky lo-fi nuances.

Heavily influenced by jazz, in recent years he has increasingly lost himself in the compositions of genre pioneers such as Skee Mask, Djrum & Kessler. Hardly has one arrived in the maelstrom of the work via the yearning mood in FLUIDS, Koju wraps the panorama in a warm, light-flooded robe through CBS & WHAT IS THERE only to finally conclude the journey with an incomparable dive of TIDES & FROM ABOVE.

As if the 6-tracker wasn't already an expansive journey into different emotions, the record is completed with 4 digital bonus tracks from established and emerging artists. The Vernacular Records label head Soul Edifice, Berlin Supermelodie label head FormerFuture, Erfurt Kfpnyx DJ & producer erasmus and the -from their last release still on VOITAX totally psyched- producer duo Thrived reach out for their new interpretations.
